No not 100% sure that the UIDLs are the issue; but running into dead ends with 
what I have tried.
I will compare the UIDL lists from the old / new server and report back.

The new server is a completely different host and currently had a different IP, 
but it will end up with the same name and IP as the existing host when we cut 
over.
At this time I have manually adjusted my lost hosts file to point towards the 
new host for testing.

Would this be a problem even though the IMAP appears to be working were as the 
POP is not.??

I'll report back on the UIDLs
