Evening All
A little investigation goes a long way. The more I looked the more I was
convinced that my issues were the result of something being corrupt in
the .thunderbird folder. I made a new profile, re-entered my email
account details and one on my problems was resolved. I could now see the
email messages in the preview window, but I was still unable to send
emails. After much scratching of the head I decided to reinstall
Thunderbird, except, when I tried I got an error, No Disk Space. upon
checking there was only 4 gb of free space on the (81GB) root partition.
Using a bit of Software called Disk usage Analyser, (it has a nice
folder and file explorer pane which show the folder using the highest
amount of space). I soon found the culprit, /var/log, it was taking up
68gb of the 77gb of used space. I soon got that down to 31gb by deleting
some old log files. I am not 100% sure why the files were so large but I
have an idea it might been the UFW Firewall as the logging, I found was
set to full, now set to low.
Now I am able to send emails and the message previews are loading. Will
keep monitoring the disk space.

email to open in a new tab or separate window to display the email
and even then not all emails will display the message. This is
happening on both email accounts and I can not see any pattern to
those email that display the message and those that do not display
the message.
I get this on nested emails, but not on single ones.
The other issue that I have had for a couple of months is not getting
all of the emails to the lug, but last night out of the blue 65+
emails appeared in my junk folder. This one did, so for some reason
my filter is not working right. I wonder if Hotmail has been holding
them up and just let a bunch through. I am down to two accounts -
Hotmail and Netscape(AOL).
I am on T-bird 115.16.2 (64-bit)
I have 9 filters set for Hotmail, and DLUG was 7th, so I have moved it
up the list.
