No, do not cancel. You can either prod Nominet to do it, https://www.nominet.uk/transferring-your-domain-name/, or you may find the new DNS-serving company will take steps on your behalf. > I have a lot of email on Ionos' servers and I'd like to take that with > me. There are others, like http://imapsync.lamiral.info. > I'm pretty sure they are static Agreed. > even my image galleries, which were generated by a number of free > tools over 10 years ago, appear to be thumbnails statically linked to > the full-sized images. You can get better photo-collection generators now that still produce static results, but the HTML will contain Javascript to run in the user's browser to give a better interface. > I saw the website as the easiest part. Worth checking that page. > What I really need is a company that will migrate everything to their > service rather like utility companies do :-) It's too messy to cope with all the vagaries of companies so it's left for you to do. -- Cheers, Ralph. -- Next meeting: BEC, Bournemouth, Tuesday, 2020-02-04 20:00 Check to whom you are replying Meetings, mailing list, IRC, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ New thread, don't hijack: mailto:dorset@mailman.lug.org.uk
