Anyone had any success translating a set of Chinese instructions using OCR? I've just taken delivery of a tube of silver conductive paint and it only has (what I believe are) Chinese instructions.
I installed tesseract and tried the chi-sim, chi-tra, chi-sim-vert and chi- tra-vert language packs, but I get about 10 western chars and the rest is still gobbledegook (to me). Of course the company (XeredEx) may not be Chinese.... However, the package came from china. BTW. It is only paint, but looking at other sources of the stuff on the Internet, some say it has to be preheated (but not by how much) and some say these paints should be painted on at room temperature and baked afterwards. Hence my desire to find out what I've really got to do. -- Terry Coles -- Next meeting: BEC, Bournemouth, Tuesday, 2019-06-04 20:00 Check to whom you are replying Meetings, mailing list, IRC, ... http://dorset.lug.org.uk/ New thread, don't hijack: mailto:dorset@mailman.lug.org.uk
