Probably not.  The jaws are hardened steel and the best that could be hoped for 
is a 
bodge.

I use a soldering station that I bought from Maplin about 2-3 years ago.  It is

The thing is that it can do lead-free soldering and it is ESD safe, so even I 
am less likely to 
damage the board or zap/overheat the component.  The tip is fine enough to slip 
into the 
hole alongside the component lead, so soldering is relatively easy.

May not fit the budget though.
