Very few people have easy access to a Lab PSU, hence my suggestion of changing
the PSU brick.
I agree that it would be a pretty poor show if PS variations affected the
reading, but it did seem to be the only common factor when I thought about it.
The resolution is the common factor that I didn't think of :-)
