The only common factor with those two devices would seem to be the +5 V PSU 
brick.  If the PSU voltage was varying by a small amount over time, then the 
readings will too.  If this is the case, you might have to provide a PSU brick 
with better regulation or insert a regulator into the line between the brick 
and the devices.

Can you run the two devices from separate PSUs to see if the variations stay 
in step?
