I realize that there are some who think that pointing out that there is
no new product, is disparaging of the organization that did not make a
new product.

I also realize that there are some who think that it is disparaging to
have a proposal that goes against the corporate culture.

I also realize that there are some who consider it disparaging for a
proposal to be made, that includes disclaimers and reasons why the
proposal should be rejected.

All of the documentation I've written in the last five years, has not
been distributed by the organization who created/developed/provide tech
support for the software. As such, individuals within those
organizations are not necessarily aware of that documentation.
