Welcome to the Apache OpenOffice Documentation effort. If you have not done so already I strongly suggest that you read the following documents: First our documentation Orientation page at http://openoffice.apache.org/orientation/intro-doc.html. Then our contributors 101 guide at https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Contribute. Thou this last is a bit dated, it does contain much information that is still pertinent. We are currently concentrating on getting the User Guide for Version 4.x ready. For the moment our main concentration is on completing the Introductory material and the guide for Writer, the word processor component. This mailing list is our main vehicle for communication. Any questions you may have or any suggestions should be brought here so that all members can know what is happening. When you are ready to start contributing let us know and we can give you some suggestions on the next steps based on where you feel most comfortable working. Regards Keith
