Can you explain how you want to achieve this? Messages send over TCP use a two
byte length field, for every DNS messages as per RFC1035 4.2.2. One of the
motivators for DELEG was to define a new message format that would allow this,
but for the current DNS message I don’t think that is possible, unless I am
missing something.
What I meant, and to use Fujiwara's terms to be more precise, is that we
shouldn't hard limit the DNS message size down from the 65K protocol limit.
But I now see how my previous text can be interpreted differently.
