I have tackled the editorial comments in a candidate 04 (not submitted, URL 
below, work-in-progress-in-progress).

Since these changes are minor and don't affect the substance of the document I 
presumed to tackle these without bothering Ray, so any glaring errors in this 
candidate 04 are mine, not his. If anybody feels like checking my work, it can

The one comment I didn't address was Éric's comment on section 1, where we use 
(as in this sentence) the editorial "we" to outline the structure of the 
document to follow. I think the editorial "we" is sufficiently familiar from 
its use elsewhere (e.g. in many, many academic papers) that the context is 
clear, and I think the passive voice would make that paragraph harder to read, 
so I didn't change it. Of course if this seems unsatisfactory we can revisit 
it^W^W^W^Wit can be revisited.
