+1. Wes and I had a chat about this before specifying ASCII - he was all
for specifying UTF-8, I suggested ASCII because it is the "standard" in
DNS, and I was arguing for simplicity.

I don't think the execution is relevant when it was obviously a bad idea in
the first place.
This is like putting rabid weasels in your pants, and later expressing
