i use dnsmasq to provide dhcp for a tap interface. When i wake the
computer up from sleep state, 80% or 90% chances are that it will spin
at 100% cpu. I've heard that it might be related to the fact that
/etc/resolv.conf is empty before the computer reconnects to the network.
AFAIK when i was using dnsmasq 2.76 in slackware 14.2 i did never see
this problem.
What you've heard is very likely true. Fixed in the git HEAD, and 2.87
which will be out this week.
Simon.
