My sense is that discussions around DoH in recent years have given new 
prominence to this particular element in the DNS*, and as Hank notes, newly 
interested policymakers don’t have to look far to find examples of other, more 
state-defined/endorsed approaches. But the expected CfP may provide some more 
clarity on exactly how the Commission sees this evolving.
