As far as I know, the embedded images are built using the devuan arm-sdk: <https://git.devuan.org/devuan-sdk/arm-sdk.git> I haven't looked into the sdk much, but there might be enough info there to figure out how to adapt it to build images for a new board. There is also: <https://linux-sunxi.org/H3> which seems to document support for the h3 board. Good luck.
