The figure includes only cd-1. > loaders to help people with cranky hard hardware get their hardware > going with one of the alternative boot loaders, if the default one > fails for them. > Sorry for asking, but how many reports do we have of the standard boot-loader on ASCII cd-1 failing to boot? And even if such a report existed, there is still minimal-live which uses syslinux and requires only 128MB of RAM. This should cover pretty much any consumer Intel-compatible machine produced in the last 20 years. We must solve problems that exist first, and after that maybe focus on those problem that could possibly exist, especially if their solution requires extra work ;) My2Cents KatolaZ -- [ ~.,_ Enzo Nicosia aka KatolaZ - Devuan -- Freaknet Medialab ] [ "+. katolaz [at] freaknet.org --- katolaz [at] yahoo.it ] [ @) http://kalos.mine.nu --- Devuan GNU + Linux User ] [ @@) http://maths.qmul.ac.uk/~vnicosia -- GPG: 0B5F062F ] [ (@@@) Twitter: @KatolaZ - skype: katolaz -- github: KatolaZ ]
