I agree.  Looking from the outside, I've long considered that systemd
will eventually become a vehicle for DRM, as it is positioning itself
between the kernel (hardware) and all user activity.   Adding DRM would
be possible and probably a natural progression.

It will be weak and full of holes but that won't matter much because it
becomes a legal matter at the moment it comes into being.  It could be
triple ROT13 and the anti-circumvention components of the EUCD and the
DMCA still kick in to protect it.

Devuan will become that much more important.
