I actually took a look through their blog a while ago and it was one of moments that caused doubts.
What I understand (not from the blog but by myself): - big companies have always been trying to control Linux but they still can't; - big companies mostly create controversial products that the community dislikes; - RedHat doesn't own systemd (https://www.happyassassin.net/2013/11/28/the-problem-with-systemdred-hat-conspiracy-theories-red-hat-does-not-own-systemd/); - Lennart Poettering is actually Lennart Illuminatering. But then, systemd is open sourced at the end of the day, hasn't anyone discovered security ("glory") holes, not counting that kernel debug issue? This chap gets his paycheque somewhere else and not only from RedHat I reckon. >That is simply a small sampling of his blog, most of which centers >around the development of SpaceFM. A cool file manager by the way. Thanks for the links! _______________________________________________ Dng mailing list Dng@lists.dyne.org https://mailinglists.dyne.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/dng
