I'm guessing you need to have a little patience. This is a volunteer list. Sometimes, when you don't get an answer, it's because the people who are in a position to answer your question are busy. It's also an international list, so when you post your message, it's worth considering that the earth should probably do a full spin on it's axis before you start presuming nobody can answer your question. What you are describing is entirely possible. I suspect what is missing here is for you to read - carefully - the documentation on named urls. The error message you are getting is consistent with not specifying a named url. However, without seeing your urlpatterns, it's impossible to tell. As for the message - yes, that is also possible, using any number of techniques. User messages are one option; there are other approach that could work, such as using the session framework. As a side note - if you want urgent answers, you may want to try your luck on IRC. There is usually someone around who will volunteer to answer questions, and the feedback will be immediate if it is available.
