Such things are an *enormous* amount of work to keep up to accurate and up-to-date. So it would have to be done by somebody like you who was prepared to volunteer a few hours a week required to manage it. If you wanted to take up this task, the easiest approach would be to create a Google calendar containing the information and put out a call for people to submit information to you. Then, once it looks sustainable, we could use the syndicated feed from the calendar to display upcoming events on djangoproject.com.
