Things Django is not good idea:
- Building a PHP site. (But maybe can output the php code ??? But is not nice to do that!) - Building something like 3D Studio Max - Next version of Halo - A native Win32 aplication - Surely fail to build something like Skype. For that, you need the power of Delphi, and if you are on drugs, c++. - You can't do a single-exe deployment, except if discover a way to hack the thing very much Maybe possible, surely as a former Delphi developer I still waiting for a web plataform easy to deploy as a Delhi application, but the question is about where django is not good... - A mobile application. Some guy do a test, but that not mean that django is a real choice - A raytracer - A OS - A Database engine Surely, django is not good for a zillon of applications, some of them are truly imposible with django and / or python. However, is like ask what millons of ways exist for detect fake money. Is a complete waste of time.
