Thank you all for your great feedback! I will definitely take Andre's to-do list there, I hear REST is definitely something to master. I've been needing to learn Celery for a project I want to work. I have worked with caching, although I do not see myself as a master, I do know my way around the documentation and the important functions for it. I have written raw SQL before when I used to code in PHP. Exporting to excel I have also done using the CSV package in Python, I think there's also a Django document on exporting to CSV and PDF.
Kurtis, I will definitely take you up on that offer. Experience is worth a lot. I am currently working on a project for a friend in Django, it's a concept similar to GetGlue.com, I've already done most of the work and everything already works rather nicely. Basically, the entire GetGlue interface has been copied, with the backend work done using Django. Of course the front-end was not copied directly, just re-created using my own front-end code, but in the end functions exactly like GetGlue does.
