No, I haven't seen this, thank you for pointing me at that. However, I think my "solution" is a much simpler one. You don't have to write views, everything is set up automatically.
Also, the list of searchable models is generated automatically. Of course, django-queries is a tool for people you trust (like admins), as there isn't any rights management...
