For the record, this is what I wrote. One will note that Sam's "description" does not accurately match what I wrote but rather spins a narrative in a way that supports his statement about "power dynamics" and, as such, the need for it to be a prez cmmt.: Gris, One of the issues is why this needs to be a President's cmmt. I am fully willing to approve it as a PMC but have serious concerns about it being a prez cmmt, esp since it is NOT an operational task, and operations (and operations alone) are truly under the purview of the President's office. Even in the vote being done on ComDev, people have stated that they are OK w/ D&I being "spun out" from ComDev but want the board to determine the best format for the cmmt. So why a President's cmmt? Why not a PMC?
