The Linux Foundation is aware of the current budget (which is minimal
with the exception of the conference) and has said they are willing to
cover it as part of their general funds. Obviously if there was a
significant expansion of that - for example, building out a testing
lab - then there would probably need to be further discussion of where
that money comes from and it might involve sponsors. I don't really
see that affecting the success or failure of the charter though. More
specifically, I don't think anyone would be willing to change the
structure of the project in order to collect money.
