No problem re: bringing up various points -- a stimulating discussion is great! :-)
Hot Diggety! Philip Brown was rumored to have written: > > I am asking a question, not of existance, but of funding effectiveness: > do "you"(general you) think it is appropriate for sun/oracle to > continue to give sunfreeware.com not-insignificant amounts of > assistance, while giving opencsw zero; and if so, why? Well, logically, I'd have had liked to see OpenCSW funded in the Sun Microsystems days. You raised a fair point regarding funding disparity. Several related questions: - Why did OpenCSW receive zero funding when under Sun management? (Did Sun deny a funding request? Any reason given?) - Did OpenCSW apply for funding via Sun in the olden days? - Will OpenCSW apply for funding given that Sun is under new ownership (Oracle) ? Again, I have not been a part of either project, so I have no vested interest whatsoever. I am merely a too-curious bystander. :-) No agenda here, honestly. My day is too busy and messy for me, as it is. -Dan _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lopsa.org http://lopsa.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/discuss This list provided by the League of Professional System Administrators http://lopsa.org/
