At work we just migrated from RT into JIRA , as the rest of the company was using JIRA for project management and JIRA supports the ability for a ticketing system setup. The combined system allows for the project managers to see into how busy ops is and allows a good way for tickets/projects to be opened that span across teams. It's not free but its highly customizable to your needs. It may be overkill for what you need since you mentioned "light" project management features.
