If I'm not mistaken, we already have several "threads" on various aspects of the forum issue. I don't know how mailing lists work, but, if possible, why not close all but one thread to prevent "dilution"? Those of us who can't or won't contribute to the wiki can then have just the one thread to read and provide feedback in.
