The only issue I have with UEFI is that according to a website, that if you disable UEFI the installed Windows 8 will refuse to run. But, I don't know how reliable that information is. For the next installfest in December, we will not have a Fedora or SuSE version that is UEFI compliant (Fedora 18 is now about December 15). I think that Ubuntu 12.10 should work. So, if we want to dual boot Windows 8 and Fedora 17, we will probably want to disable UEFI. However, I doubt we will see a Windows 8 system on December 8, so this might be moot, but we need to be prepared since Windows 8 is now shipping.
