When you build with portage it drops privs to user "portage" which obviously has no rights to my X server, on the rare chance that I'm running one at all. If there is no way to easily disable the test right now I understand, but it would be nice to have a way to disable some of these tests which are simply not going to work on headless boxes (like the one I have building every commit that goes into git as a test).
