Hmmm. The PLL on the MAX2118 downconverter has typical phase-noise specs of around -80dBc/Hz at 10Khz offset. Below 1Khz offset, the phase noise increases to about -55dBc/Hz, which is about 25dB worse than the
 xtal oscillator.  According to the datasheet, anyway...
