Hi Sharad, for a quick and dirty hack, just to get something running, you could try to compile DirectFB with SDL enabled in a cygwin environment in windows. That *should* only require a few minor tweaks to build.
Doing it "right" in DirectX would require more work, but you could then take full advantage of DirectXs abilities and acceleration.
