I just had a discussion with a RadeonHD dev, who happens to be the maintainer of radeonfb module. He is mentioning about plans for a new kernel modesetting architecute that will touch all fb kernel drivers. He is also working on DRM and all that seems to be part of the same plan. Are we aware of this?
DRI2 he said is work in progress, not their job tho, but at least the new modsetting infrastructure will provide an fbdev. So, how is all this going to affect DirectFB?
