-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 > I recently decided to start working on a Swype-like keyboard
I really like the idea to have some Swype-like input for Jolla - it's one of the hardest things to leave behind from N9, and something you really notice when going to plain touchscreen keyboards. But - are there patents covering this sort of functionality? I don't want to be the rain at the parade, but presumably the people behind Swype have some patent lawyers and some IP? A quick look at the bottom of the Wikipedia entry for Swype confirms my suspicion... (2 US patents). :-( Where do app developers and Jolla stand in relation to implementing patented functionality?
