IMHO, that conditional should just be dropped entirely. I build a freetype-
freeworld in RPM Fusion which has subpixel rendering enabled and which 
overrides the libraries through ld.so.conf.d, which is IMHO a much better 
solution than having the user rebuild the freetype RPM with a non-default 
flag.

And I don't need this conditional for freetype-freeworld. I actually removed 
it entirely from freetype-freeworld, because now that the hinting patents 
expired, there are only 2 ways of building Freetype: with or without 
subpixel rendering. freetype is without, freetype-freeworld is with. So I 
just hardcoded it to always enabed in freetype-freeworld, which simplified 
my specfile.
