  After reading more into it… I was mistaken. A2DP is not two-way bluetooth
audio. PA 5 won't fix the headset issue:

PulseAudio now supports BlueZ 5, but only the A2DP profile. 
BlueZ 4 is still the only way to make HSP/HFP work.
