Thank you for inviting me, with your foul attitude, to be condescending and to 
ask a question. I think your observations on this subject are useless, and also 
not amusing. Are you drunk? I ask because the last time you went off like this, 
you were, and ended up apologizing to the whole list for your rant. So maybe 
now is a good time to choose between more drinking and more posting, but not 
both? Just an observation.

Overwhelmingly, those who contribute have positive impact. If there is even a 
minority case, it seems hardly worth underscoring, especially in the manner and 
venue you've chosen.

So what?

Earth to Jóhann, pretty much everyone involved in the project, in one form or 
another, contributes based on gaining something out of the project. They are 
doing this for their own self interested reasons while simultaneously giving 
back to the community. That's the point of participating. The specifics of what 
motivates often are interesting, but are not relevant to the quality, or 
validity of their participation.
