Please read the other threads before exploding like this. To summarize, mariadb will replace mysql as the mysql-like db in Fedora 19. However, if someone steps up to package mysql for F19, then it will also be available, just not installed by default.

And freedom != choice, at least not in the way you're implying here. That has also already been brought up recently, either in the mariadb thread or the openoffice one.
