UEFI is not BIOS. The command you were looking for is grub2-efi-install, whereas grub2-install is for BIOS systems. The package you should already have is grub2-efi. And on UEFI systems there are no boot sectors, there is a partition dedicated for boot managers/loaders as EFI applications called the EFI System partition which must be specified when using the install command.
