"Retired Fedora packages (rawhide branch retired) require a re-review if they are retired for more than eight weeks or if there is no previous review of the package. Submit a review request (a new bugzilla ticket) and have the package approved by a reviewer as if it were new to Fedora." https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Package_Retirement_Process/#:~:text=To%20unretire%20a%20EPEL%20branch,the%20link%20to%20re%2Dreview. ... and that is when I noticed it is *just deprecated*, not *retired*, and Miro is right of course :) In the case of aspell I'm wondering where the impression of "undergoing maintenance and improvements" is coming from: https://github.com/GNUAspell/aspell/graphs/code-frequency Yes, there have been commits in 2024, but ... I wouldn't mind quiet upstreams, but just look at the number and age of open issues and PRs, and compare to the total number of commits. Is there a package in Fedora which would profit from the [re-inclusion] undeprecation of aspell? Also, is undeprecation = precation? I'm asking out of precaution, obviously.
