Although the spec BRs mvn(org.apache.felix:maven-bundle-plugin),

I had actually tried adding the plugin in like this but tried to add the
extensions tag in using a separate xpath statement - obviously incorrectly.
This was the missing ingredient, doing both together!

After doing that, the build still fails:

  Also, patch 0001-Add-extensions-true-to-build-helper-maven-plugin.patch

accomplishes nothing
