There has not been an upstream release since 2007 - the maintainer Mark Crispin sadly died in 2012, and nobody else has formed an upstream around it. In my view it makes sense to drop it from Fedora 35+ and take the pain of disabling functionality until the various upstreams switch to alternatives. Hopefully Remi can comment on alternatives.
