I found AMD's announcement here: https://www.amd.com/en/corporate/speculative-execution Apparently, for Spectre they have developed a mitigation for their CPUs for variant 1; variant 2 they don't seem to believe that impacts them - and fwiw no one has yet been able to reproduce it on amd hardware. Good news at least amd folks don't need to worry about potential performance impact from the meltdown circumvention.
