If `zeppelin.jdbc.auth.type` is empty string (`""`),
`properties.getProperty("zeppelin.jdbc.auth.type", "SIMPLE")` will return `""`.
But `defaultIfEmpty(T str, T defaultStr)` returns the value of defaultStr
the CharSequence is empty or null.
