Sam Ruby commented on WHIMSY-318: --------------------------------- Much in the way we "leak" information like "is this person an ASF member", I would suggest that PMC members have a reasonable need to know if there exists a message with a standardized subject line that explicitly mentions that PMC and the name of a proposed PMC member. Not the content of the message or any other information, just that information from the subject line. > Change PMC update to require link to board NOTICE message > --------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: WHIMSY-318 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/WHIMSY-318 > Project: Whimsy > Issue Type: Improvement > Reporter: Sebb > Priority: Major > > There have been several instances of people adding users to the PMC without a > proper NOTICE mail. > Rather than just ask if the Notice period has elapsed, Whimsy could ask for a > link to the NOTICE mail. This could even be parsed for reasonable contents. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005)
