This all sounds excellent.  Count me in!

I guess if these are convened under the auspices of the project, the recordings 
should
also become an official project resource.  That opens the suggestion that 
written
tutorial materials be hosted alongside them, managed by the community either by
wiki or under full change-control.

Those who are most comfortable presenting, present.  Those who prefer writing, 
write.
