For HTTP/HTTPS/SPDY, I agree that "scheme" would be better.

But here, we want to describe *protocol stack*, so HTTPS == TLS+HTTP, just
as James mentioned above, using *protocol stack* can avoid unnecessary the
risk of combinatorial explosion.
