Perhaps we can adopt the Httpd's concept of standard and experimental (plugins instead modules) Each "experimental" would have to be explicitly enabled at configure time, e.g. --enable-foo-plugin and then it'll be part of 'make install' otherwise it'll be skipped unlike "stable" plugins which will need --disable-bar-plugin to get ruled out. If you can give me the name of at least one "stable" and one "experimental" plugin from current examples I can work on makefiles and config to support that. Regards -- ^TM
