thank you for your great ideas.... The features that you mention are not a big deal to code. Long time ago, mostly, I have already coded sthg like this in the past, but I have NO windows yet : nwim2. nwim2 features: "I think that the only things we have to implement are: 1. Most vim bindings (not all, but most), just altered a bit in the way they behave. Done: you can switch to fly mode as well (it has either wordstar or vim key bindings into the menu config). 2. Fantastic syntax highlighting Not done yet. 3. Fantastic auto-completion (a small menu appears while you type and you press tab to accept or ctrl/alt to navigate). Done. 4. Code folding Done, it can show you a tab with the section/subsection for IeX for instance. 5. Snippet/template support Done 6. Documentation while you type" nope I have added some other features, such as multi-dictionary, various sort of panel views, workspace/desktop that popups for various tools, multi-editing, email/wget tools,... into this nwim2 (which was based on clitex). I am trying now to implement it to Clidesk, but it is quite too much work.
I believe that I should start all new. We could code a layer that has some visual console windows....? 2014-06-29 14:00 GMT+02:00 Dimitris Zervas <dzer...@dzervas.gr>: > -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- > Hash: SHA512 > > I think that a new text editor must be created, with text interface (and > maybe GUI later). > > I think that the only things we have to implement are: > 1.
