I tend to agree. Additionally, it lends itself well to implementations
that are modular and that can communicate through a text interface,
since it's all about text. Sounds suckless to me.
I'm not too keen on autocompletion in a text editor, but I appreciate it
when entering filenames on the commandline -- or when using dmenu for
any of the tasks it's so well-suited for.
